  • Amordaad is the fifth month in the Iranian calendar and it means "Immortal" which is an attribute of the Creator. Each day has a special name and when it matches with the name of the month, Zoroastrians celebrate it. There are 12 such festivals in a year and Norooz, Mehregaan, Teergaan, Sadeh, Chaahaar Shanbeh Soori, Seezdab b-e Dar are among the best known ones. So, Amordaad Festival is celebrated on the day of Amordaad in the month of Amordaaad. These traditions go back centuries and they highlight the importance of celebrating life, liberty, justice, and happiness for all.

Learn about the meanings of these traditions that stand as enduring ideals of humanity for a better world and celebrate rich traditions of an ancient civilization that continues to be vibrant today.
